Performed full lifecycle development (as lead engineer) for a J2EE Web Server for the Air Force BFS (Blue Force Status) program.o Designed the client/server SOA contract (using XML in a SOAP envelope, WSDL and XSD’s)o Designed relational and big-table styled database tables (PostgreSQL, Oracle, Hypersonic – RDBMS, HBase/Hadoop – BigTable)o Maintained a web service with over 50 operations to retrieve data from our relational database. Maintained a second web service to retrieve data from our “big-table” styled database. Both web services returned data via XML.o Wrote data from GPB’s to databases in near-real-time.o Maintained diagnostic tools for front-end issues. Helped test front-end development. (Flex front end was used.)o Made presentations to Air Force customers.o At times, worked alone; at other times, led a 3-4 person development team to provide deliverables.o Traveled to customer site to provide support and troubleshoot issues.• Provided deliverable software for the Air Force ALPS (Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN) Link Protection System) program. o Performed all necessary IA procedures to ensure Air Force compliance with ALPS upgrades.o Implemented a GUI that mimicked the controls on a Spectrum Analyzer; allowing engineers to control spectrum data from their desktops.o Implemented a GUI that allowed users to monitor threats to the ALPS system in real-time.• Designed, implemented, and maintained a server application that transferred information from ISS’s proprietary WebTAS (Web Temporal Analysis System) framework to FalconView. (Used COM and ATL to implement an API to connect to FalconView.)

• Researched and designed a system to implement Housekeeping functionality into Starwood Vacation Ownership (SVO)’s LightSpeed Hotel Management System; using Java/Swing/JSP in a J2EE environment.• Designed and developed a module to view/modify/update hotel codes and code types into Starwood’s LightSpeed hotel management software, using Java/Swing/JSP’s/JavaBeans in a J2EE environment. Also solved general bugs related to the software, saving time and money.• Designed and developed a Component Factory framework used by Starwood’s Lightspeed hotel management system. The component factory used Java/Swing, and is saving LightSpeed developers development time.• Worked as part of a team to redesign Starwood’s LightSpeed hotel management software into a “Java WebStart” compatible application.
