We founded Advantage Archives to ensure that documents from yesterday, last year, or a century ago, are available today, next year, or a century from now. To do so, we partner with like-minded individuals in the communities we work with to involve, empower, and equip them to take an active role in preserving their community history, and make it widely accessible. We believe that these efforts are a shared responsibility. Advantage takes an active and ongoing role in the partnerships to ensure that budgetary restraints do not hinder our projects, and all parties involved can achieve our mutual goal of "preserving the past, ensuring its future."

The Advantage Companies consist of 3 individual divisions that enhance or emphasize each other's strengths and core competencies. The Advantage Companies provide storage, document management, and preservation support solutions to organizations across the United States.Advantage Preservation focuses exclusively on historical newspaper and document preservation. Historical newspaper collections, genealogy books, yearbooks, vital records, and other documents of significance are carefully microfilmed for 500-year preservation in accordance to ANSI/AIIM standards. All collections are carefully audited, and the film is stored in a purpose built, humidity and temperature controlled microfilm vault. Advantage Preservation also provides microfilm digitization services as an enhancement to the preservation process, allowing for greater access to the archived content. Advantage Records Management provides comprehensive records management and offsite document storage solutions for businesses across Eastern Iowa. The secure 80,000 square foot facility is located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Retention schedules are setup by the clients to maintain compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, FACTA, PIPEDA and other regulatory requirements.Advantage Information Management Solutions provides document management and imaging services for organizations across the state of Iowa. AIMS consultants work closely with city, county and state governments, as well as local colleges, universities, hospitals, and businesses large and small.
