I am a Managing Parter at SIGNITE PARTNERS, a venture capital firm that invests in innovative and disruptive startups in the fields of fashion, beauty, machine learning, and blockchain. With over 20 years of experience in the startup ecosystem, I have a passion for supporting and empowering entrepreneurs who are creating positive social and economic impact.Prior to joining SIGNITE PARTNERS, I was a partner at 500 Startups, a global venture capital firm that has backed over 2,500 companies in more than 75 countries. I helped source, evaluate, and mentor promising startups in various sectors and regions, and fostered a strong network of founders, investors, and partners. Before that, I was the head of Campus Seoul, a Google space for entrepreneurs and startups, where I successfully launched and managed the first Campus in Asia, attracting over 24,000 members, hosting over 1,200 community events, and supporting 23 resident startups. I have also been an entrepreneur myself, having founded and sold two online marketing companies in the past.My mission is to learn, connect, and build with the best minds and ideas in the world, and to share my knowledge and experience with the next generation of innovators. I have a master's degree in management science and engineering from Stanford University, and another master's degree in industrial engineering from UC Berkeley. I also have a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from KAIST. I am fluent in English and Korean, and have published a book on entrepreneurship in 2017. I enjoy reading, traveling, and car racing in my spare time.
