Highlights include:- Provided management and technical guidance and contribution to Kastle Safe Spaces initiative towards healthy re-opening during the COVID pandemic. Such innovations were covered by the New York Times, NPR, WTOP, and others.- Lead the creation of Kastle's FIPS 201-2 and ICAM compliant solution for the US Government to the GSA APL.- Directed launch of Kastle’s Multifamily offering, which now represents nearly 25% of Kastle’s business.- Lead a team of developers to implement an AWS Cloud app for quick human categorization of video analytics-based alarms. The solution was cloud native and utilized Amazon SQS, S3, IAM, and EC2 with ELB and Autoscaling. Cost savings to company of > $150k / year.

Serving as a core member in the Kastle Technology Group, general responsibilities have included software architecture and design, coding, documentation, and support at the database, server, cloud, messaging, and edge device layers. Some accomplishments include:-Key Kastle technical representative to Physical Security Interoperability Alliance (PSIA), including Area Control, Compliance, and Physical-Logical Access Interoperability (PLAI). Worked with fellow PSIA member companies as a major contributor to several key specification revisions. Attended numerous trade shows (ISC West, ASIS) to demonstrate PSIA Area Control specifications in practice.-Full SDLC leadership for integrating OEM hardware into the Kastle ecosystem based on PSIA specifications. Directed 5 member offshore (India) team and also took a hands-on role in shifting our operating system platform's linux flavors to Ubuntu, quality assurance, and code contributions including all Java Native Interface (JNI) code.-Cloud experience including administering RackSpace CloudServers, architect/design/code multiple solutions using Amazon AWS solutions (S3,IAM,EC2), and solutions utilizing cloud telephony provider Twilio.-Designed and implemented the company's integration with several major "destination" elevator manufacturers using TCP/IP and UDP sockets.-Designed and developed a C# framework for rapidly building data archival applications. The framework utilizes abstract classes enabling code re-use and other developers have been able to implement configurable, highly performant multi-threaded applications based on the framework in a matter of hours.-Designed and developed software on Windows and Linux (PHP, C++, C#) that transitioned the company's latest architecture from a polling model to push model. This helped achieve an over 2000x performance boost and allowed the company to grow the latest architecture at the pace they desired.

Instrumental in leading the DCL transition from ISO 18000-6b UHF RFID tags to EPC Gen2 (ISO 18000-6c) RFID tags. Trialed several different readers including Intermec IF5, Symbol XR400, and ThingMagic M5, and wrote software that would interface with all 3 readers to give the client choice in vendor.Directed the development efforts of 2 other team members and integrated other teams working on disparate architectures (Mainframe CICS, IBM WebSphere Application Server).

Developed software (Visual C++, MFC) for the US Customs and Border Protection's (CBP) SENTRI and NEXUS Dedicated Commuter Lane (DCL) program. The software I worked on consisted of client-side software including a touchscreen program for CBP Officer use and a program that interfaced with the various hardware in the lane.
