During my years in community college, I started my entrepreneurial journey running our families small vending company. Learned how to communicate with all the local businesses, pitched higher yielding candy options to customers and got my hands dirty stocking all the machines. May have snuck a few handfuls here or there as well...🍬Deciding to try to take over the other family business, I received my degree in Business Admin from SUNY Brockport. I immediately jumped in and started shadowing my dad at his local collision shop🔧. This is where I quickly began to get an understanding for how businesses really operate.One afternoon while watching football with my dad, we tossed around the idea of starting a business to help his collision shop get parts faster, more consistently. Having zero experience in software, we decided that myself, fresh out of college, and my carguru dad should start a software company🤔.That is when we founded, Tonquin, a last-mile delivery platform with a suite of automated delivery solutions that is now used by brands such as American Tire Distributors, Napa Auto Parts, Advance Auto Parts, Lowe's, and more.Raising over a half million in angel funding and getting to experience that "hockey stick growth" was an experience I'll never forget. I continue to lead Tonquin and it's amazing core team.In addition to running Tonquin, I now work with various other technology companies using my experience in startups, technology, logistics and internet marketplaces to help with product, growth and operations.
