Colonel [Ret.], USA) at Revelations Counseling & Consulting in Fredericksburg, VA.Jeff completed his internship at the Goretti Center for Healing and Forgiveness in Brookfield, CT under the supervision of Timothy Lock, PhD, licensed psychologist.He is EMDR Trained through EMDRIA Approved Consultants led by Jennifer Madere, LPC-S at the Intuitus Group in Cedar Park, TX.Jeff regularly presents at professional conferences and produces articles in peer-reviewed professional publications advocating for therapists to move from merely alleviating a client’s symptoms to promoting a client’s intellectual, volitional, emotional, spiritual, bodily, and relational flourishing.He previously served as both the founding secretary/treasurer (2020-2021) of Liberty University's northeastern Rho Eta Nu Alpha Rho (RENAR) online chapter of Chi Sigma Iota (CSI), the counseling profession's honor society, and as producer of the RENAR Voice counseling student podcast interviewing Liberty counseling faculty members and other leaders in the counseling profession.Jeff's approach to counseling is largely formed by the work of Anna Terruwe and Conrad Baars, and the philosophy of Thomas Aquinas. Additional influences include psychodynamic, person-centered, existential, exposure, EMDR, and DBT theories and modalities.Jeff is married with four children. He previously pursued the Catholic priesthood from 2002 to 2006 as a college seminarian for the Archdiocese of Washington, and then as a temporarily professed friar from 2006 to 2010 with the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal.
