I commune with the machine, and I find computing fun. For most of my life, I've built for the sake of building with the spirit of "ars gratia artis". I'm a builder of software. I'm a hacker of machines that will throw stuff together with duct-tape and make something "just work". When something that "just works" isn't good enough, then I put on the hat of the mathematician and apply full rigor. Balancing these two forces defines me as a software engineer.However, I'm more than a code slinging professional. I build software for other people, and I'm at the level of "practitioner". In my quest to stretch myself further, I've picked up writing since I value my ability to communicate in non-orthodox ways.
