Dr. Jeffrey Brodeur possesses extensive experience in the development of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) strategies, plans, and training programs across all levels of the U.S. Department of Defense, including strategic, operational, and tactical domains. He is formally trained at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and the U.S. Army War College, holding a Master of Science in Strategic Studies. His notable past roles include serving on senior battle staffs for an Army Division (2-star), an Army Service Component (3-star), and a Geographic Combatant Command (4-star). His final military assignment was as the Assistant Commandant for the U.S. Army Chemical-Biological-Radiological-Nuclear schoolhouse and Regimental headquarters, where he adeptly oversaw the professional military education curriculum and managed the training and administrative operations for approximately 8,000 students annually. Dr. Brodeur is recognized internationally as a CBRN expert, having served as a keynote speaker and panelist at conferences in the USA, Canada, Iraq, Brazil, Sweden, and Italy.In the private sector, Dr. Brodeur led CBRN survey teams in combat zones to support Department of State initiatives. His executive roles in CBRN have included significant contributions to Department of Energy projects at various facilities such as Y-12 National Security Complex, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratory, Savannah River Site, and the Office of International Nuclear Security. He was also the project lead and subject matter expert responsible for creating and delivering a series of 18 United Nations Counter CBRN courses.Currently, Dr. Brodeur serves as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia Southern University, where he teaches a variety of homeland security courses to graduate students. He effectively integrates homeland security principles with real-world experiences to foster an engaging learning environment.Additionally, he is the President of the Chemical Corps Regimental Association (CCRA).
