Responsibilities included providing integration and leadership to evolving enterprise, providing annual budgets and goals, staffing, administering HR policies, terminations, reporting of quarterly and annual results, acquisitions, and divestitures of units. Primary functions included serving as managing partner of CPA firm operating within an alternative practice structure for a publicly traded company. Client service included $1.5MM book-of-business, and remained heavily involved in practice development activities and cross-selling initiatives among CBIZ's diverse service offerings.

Single office CPA firm serving clients in a myriad of professional services, from traditional assurance, tax and advisory services, to specialized consulting areas including: information technology (design, installation, support, and training), ISO 9000 (design, implementation, and preparation for certification), and legal services related to tax and corporate needs. Grew firm from 20 to 45 person staff in eight years and introduced several new consultative advisory service offerings. Negotiated merger proposals from the three major consolidators attracted to SLP, culminating in a sale to CBIZ at the end of 1998, thereby becoming only the second of such transactions in New York State at the time.
