I am committed to improving the higher education experience for marginalized students and helping individuals of all backgrounds reach their full potential.With over six years of experience leading initiatives to boost university access and inclusion, I know how to deliver high-impact programming that drives student success. My core skill set encompasses program management and development (student retention focus); curriculum design and implementation; 1:1 undergraduate advising; scholarship administration, admissions strategy, and budgeting; partner relationship building; and strategic assessment.Equity, diversity, and inclusion principles form the core of my approach to this work. My proven record of building community and increasing students' sense of belonging stems from the anti-oppressive practices I continuously cultivate through ongoing self-learning and unlearning.After working closely with underrepresented students who identify as low-income, first gen, LGBTQ+ and BIPOC over several years, I became keenly aware of how traditional teaching and learning approaches often advantage those who already hold the most privilege within university spaces.My professional aspiration is to create programs, policies, and tools that disrupt these dominant norms and ultimately dismantle the deep-rooted inequities that diminish the experience for all students who pursue higher education.
