CCJR California is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to restoring balance and fairness to California's inequitable levying of accountability throughout the justice system. We advocate for the following:* Prevention of Consumer Abuse & Criminal Victimization through Education * Publicly Funded Rehabilitation* Evidence-based Regulation & Legislation* Increased civil liability & accountability * Alternatives to criminal sanctions* Proactive approach to sustaining public safety* Restoration of individual privacy* A better business model: reduce recidivism through prevention education and changes in public policy that provide meaningful rehabilitation, transitional housing and vocational training opportunities for released ex-offenders. By assisting former inmates to help themselves become productive, employed tax-payers, we can and will dramatically reduce their likelihood of re-offending while significantly increasing public safety and California's tax base all at the same time.* A better business model: We encourage coalition building towards fulfilling our #1 goal of ending America's addiction to profiteering of off the human warehousing of inmates created by mass incarceration. 1 in 4 prisoners in the world is a U.S. citizen. No other country in the world incarcerates more people, children and adults alike, than the United States.
