Jeffrey Olson is a Director Of Engineering at TraceLink at TraceLink. Jeff has development, organization and communications skills WELL beyond his years. The code he developed for the NOPS team was always top notch - very readable, easily maintainable and with very few bugs. He worked closely with QA to define a test plan but before he handed over the product to QA he would run through the test plan himself making QA's job very simple. Jeff is very at ease with ambiguity - he and I worked with the operations team to sketch out a rough Web GUI to maintain NOPS policy information. He ran with that rough outline and in a matter of days we had a working prototype and skeleton application we could build off of. He is also very good at identifying technical risks early in the timeline and very good at breaking down and estimating complex tasks. He was always pleasant, professional and courteous to work with. When developing the Vodafone pluging (to interface NOPS to the Vodafone backend) I expected to get a significant number of calls for technical help but Jeff was like a machine just breaking down every road block in front of him. Similarly on the Transaction ID generator we worked together to come up with a good design to quickly generate unique identifiers that were small and quick to create. I would employ Jeff again on a tech team in a heartbeat - in fact I plan to - but his skills are so good and so complete and broad that I will probably end up working for him!"
