After graduating from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in chemical engineering, I started my career as an intern with AMGEN, one of the biggest biotech companies in the US. After gathering some valuable experience in the biotech realm, I accepted a job offer with BioIQ, a healthcare startup company located in Santa Barbara. As employee number 6 with BioIQ, I gained ground floor entrepreneurial experience and built value for the company over a 2.5 year period.In early 2009, I moved to Sacramento to cover a sales territory for Zimmer Spine. Spending nearly every weekday in the operating room working closely with spine surgeons, I gained valuable sales and medical experience and quickly grew the business. After 2 years in medical device sales, I decided to join a close friend's medical distribution business to bring cutting edge medical technologies to market. I headed up the pharmaceutical division of the distributorship and grew the business from 0 to $400,000/month in sales within 18 months. I hired and trained a sales team of 12 stellar individuals in California over the next several years. In 2015, I pivoted into regenerative medicine and managed business development in stem cell research, drug development and regenerative medicine for ReproCELL in the Southwest (Southern California, Arizona, Texas and Colorado). ReproCELL is a global company based on a 2012 Nobel Prize in "medical physiology" based on cell reprogramming technology / iPSCs (specifically non-modified RNA reprogramming).
