- Provide strategic input on customer communications, including messaging and selection of appropriate communications channels- Oversee media relations for our W.Va. territory- Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with print, television and radio media- Develop and execute comprehensive communications plans on a variety of topics- Lead the development of news releases, pitch them to local media outlets and handle all related media inquires - Coordinate production of bill inserts, including researching, writing, editing and design- Coordinate production of triannual Customer Newsletter, including researching, writing, editing and design- Ensure Customer Contact centers provide consistent messaging during important company events such as major storms, rate cases and new developments within the organization - Work with our Consumer Products department to create marketing materials including brochures, customer letters and bill inserts- Speak on behalf of the company as a member of FirstEnergy’s Speakers Bureau - Oversee development of customer letters, brochures and other materials that share various topics of interest to customers- Work closely with executives when developing various communications materials, including talking points, testimony, presentations and letters- Assist in the planning and implementation of special events such as groundbreakings and trade shows

Handled an average of 70 customer concerns per shift including late payments, outages, reconnects/disconnects, high bill complaints and many othersWorked closely with other departments such as Bill Calculations, Customer Choice and Business Account Specialists to ensure accurate customer satisfactionVolunteered and participated in several teams including Community Outreach, Safety, and Leveraging the Web
