• Refactored an integration with TomTom Telematics that was experiencing frequent lags and downtime. Improved error handling eliminated downtime. Indexing queries reduced execution time by over 90%, and setting a no-sleep threshold on the queue processor reduced average queue time from five hours to one minute.• Co-authored a tool to search and batch-update prices. Leveraged XPath for an efficient and easily extensible search function. Design included strategies for sorting, filtering, and comparing search results, to maximize users’ ability to discover and correct errors and inconsistencies.• Authored several web services essential to a paperless workflow migration initiative, which has reduced paper usage by over 90%.˃˃ A PDF generator, using iText, to create and archive order documents previously only available in triplicate. Designed several template PDF forms based on existing paper forms. Each request is configurable to use custom branding, include photos, signatures, and output to an HTTP response, an archive, or an email attachment.˃˃ An email generator to send customers digital order documents, replacing the practice of mailing or leaving a paper copy. A flexible templating system allows logic or markup to be changed effortlessly; changes to the business logic or templates do not require any compilation or publish cycle. Templates are responsive and display appropriately across a range of devices and email clients. • Created and maintained REST resources, migrating the legacy data access layer from registered COM objects and toward web services. All new features apply the MVC pattern with async queries to speed load times.• Created and maintained database schemata, queries, and stored procedures to support new features and fortify legacy features.
