I am an entrepreneurial leader with 20 years experience and deep expertise in developing and rapidly operationalizing business models and brand strategies. My chief professional success was founding and leading Kolektiva as CEO. Kolektiva was the first and largest daily deal site in Central Eastern Europe (CEE). Initially launching in one city with self-funding, I set the vision and executed to expand Kolektiva to eight countries, raise $10+ million in VC (a first in the region), employ 150 FTEs and build a $35 million regional business prior to exit. I am most proud of my role in building, coaching and motivating Kolektiva’s exceptional executive team, which was responsible for pioneering widespread consumer adoption of daily deals, eCommerce, mCommerce and online travel packages in the region. Kolektiva was acquired and merged with CEE internet powerhouse Neogen in 2014.Post-acquisition I returned to the US where I later joined Shoutem, a leading mobile app development platform for SMEs, in a senior business development role. At Shoutem, I doubled revenues in my first year by securing new Enterprise deals with Fortune 500 media and communication companies. At work, I am all-consumed. My motivation is to positively change the world around me through entrepreneurship, ethical leadership and technological as well as brand/product innovation.Outside of work, I enjoy hiking and skiing in beautiful Colorado, learning new skills such as mobile app and web development, and mentoring the entrepreneurs in my network.I earned my MBA degree from Harvard Business School and my BA from Tufts University.Specialties: New project / new venture development, general management, operations, cross-functional leadership, go-to-market strategy, business planning, fundraising, business development and partnerships, key account management, brand management, consumer goods, empathy.

Vp Business DevelopmentShoutem Aug 2014 - Mar 2017Brooklyn, Ny, UsHaving returned to the US following Kolektiva’s exit, I jumped at the chance to join Shoutem, a leading mobile app development platform powering thousands of apps globally. Not only did I trust and respect Shoutem’s founding team – with whom I had collaborated years earlier – but Shoutem was solving a tough problem which I had experienced firsthand with Kolektiva’s mCommerce initiatives: While mobile apps were clearly still “eating the world” in 2014, building and maintaining them continued to be an extremely difficult and prohibitively expensive challenge for many companies. Shoutem’s platform solved this problem by evolving into a “Magento” for mobile apps and removing common maintenance /integration issues as well as the need for significant technical debt.At Shoutem, I accelerated revenue growth by forging deals with new clients, distributors and integration partners. • Delivered 100% growth by winning new Enterprise deals with Fortune 500 media and communications companies, including USA Today and West Corporation.• Restructured inbound sales teams and led implementation of Salesforce CRM and Pardot marketing intelligence tool to yield 25% growth. • Spearheaded launch of outbound sales efforts – now the top source of new opportunities and revenue pipeline.• Vetted business model and made key recommendations to CEO leading to complete strategy overhaul and rebuild of core mobile app development platform. -
Ceo And Co-FounderKolektiva Aug 2009 - Jan 2014Zagreb, HrPioneered eCommerce in Central Eastern Europe (CEE). Independently launched the first daily deal website in CEE and bootstrapped growth in three initial countries. ACHIEVEMENTS: Scaled the Company to 150 employees in six countries and $20 million in revenue. Led mergers and acquisitions, including technology acquisition of Berlin-based DealGecco, and a merger with Zumzi/Neogen srl (Romania) and Kupon Vilag kft.
