Township Manager
CurrentProvide overall executive leadership and management of all Township Departments and activities.Facilitate meetings with developers, engineers, architects, business owners and residents to review zoning applications, conditional uses and subdivision/land development projects.Administers the operations of the Township government in accordance with the Township Code and laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.Analyzes, evaluates and makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on policies and procedures and implements decisions made by the Board of Supervisors. Implements the policies and executes directions from the Township Board of Supervisors.Prepares and administers the Township budget for adoption by the Board of Supervisors. Supervises and directs all spending and purchasing by Township departments. Develops long and short-term plans for Township operations, including capital improvements, road and sewer repairs, township construction projects and municipal parks. Supervises all Township employees and contract personnel, including work assignments, schedules, performance, discipline or discharge, recommends promotion, adjusts grievances, approves leaves, recommends and adjusts pay assignments.Serves as Zoning Officer responsible for the interpretation and enforcement of the Township’s zoning ordinance, including supervision of proper departments, subordinates or contracted employees. Acts as a liaison between the Board of Supervisors and all appointed boards, commissions and committees and attends all meetings. Prepares reports and informs the Board of Supervisors of pending actions.Acts as a liaison on all economic development activities, mutual cooperation with other Townships, and other government related agencies. Acts as a liaison between the Board of Supervisors and the public by responding to all inquiries and resolving conflicts.
