I am a collaborative, results-driven insurance professional with the ability to engage and motivate teams toward a unified and clear vision. Appointed as Senior Vice President – Sales & Distribution in 2016, I have built and strategically led diverse, high-performing teams in order to achieve next level performance. As an overarching leader for the Des Moines campus and community, I partner with and mentor associates to further mold and improve the thriving and inclusive culture and success of the workplace. I began my career with Nationwide in 1985 as a Claims Representative with Allied Insurance (a Nationwide company). In 2003, I was a appointed Regional Vice President of Allied’s Rocky Mountain Regional Office, and two years later, Regional Vice President of Nationwide’s former Florida Regional Office. I led that region’s transition from an exclusive to an independent agency model before serving as Senior Vice President of Field Operations for Allied from 2009 to 2013. I then served as a Senior Vice President of Customer Service & Sales Solutions, and President of Nationwide’s Independent Distribution prior to transitioning into my current role. I enjoy being an active member in the Des Moines community. I currently serve on the Vaughan Institute Advisory Board and the Greater Des Moines Partnership Board. In addition I also serve on the JDRF Greater Iowa Corporate Development Committee, Central Iowa Water Trails Campaign Advisory Council and am a member of Nationwide’s All Women ARG Executive Advisory Council.
