CurrentAs a Psychologist at QLI, a rehabilitation facility for individuals with brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, chronic pain, and degenerative neurological conditions, I have the privilege of being a part of a fantastic team of dedicated professionals that have constructed and maintained an unequaled continuum of services, and a work culture that is reflected in our being voted the "Best Place to Work in Omaha" all 7 times we have participated in that survey process. My duties include: Conduct initial and ongoing psychological and neuropsychological assessments of inpatient and outpatient clients. Provide psychotherapeutic and psychoeducational services to inpatient and outpatient clients and their family members. Provide ongoing behavioral training and consultation to staff, and maintain ongoing behavioral programming with residents of QLI’s post-acute rehabilitation center, long-term care facility, and assisted living apartment residents. Maintain all documentation for services provided. Provide liaison services between clinical team, family members, and payer sources for identified residents. Participate in training of new staff regarding brain injury, stroke, and adjustment to disability, and provide ongoing staff training in computer and Internet-related classes. Provide professional supervision for post-doctoral psychology residents, pre-doctoral psychology interns, and masters-training psychology externs. Participate in pre-admission screenings and assessments as directed by the QLI admissions committee. Research Coordinator (06/2001 – 12/2017), Coordinator of Special Projects (06/2001 – present), Department Head of the Cognitive Rehabilitation Department (06/2001 – 06/2002), Clinical Host (coordinator for individual rehabilitation cases) (05/2002 – 04/2003), Department Head of Psychology/Neuropsychology Department (11/2006 – 03/2008), and Director of Neuropsychology and Psychology Services (03/2008 – present).
