I began my career in 1999, as an enterprising frontliner in sales & marketing, and since then, I have gained a wealth of experience working for local and international companies holding many senior management roles in industries such as Advertising, Insurance & Investment, IT solutions, Manufacturing, and International Trade. My forte and significant contributions have been in Strategic Business Planning, Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, and Human Resource Development. I served in the insurance & investment sector in Dubai, UAE, for seven years since 2001. During that time, I was awarded the honors of an MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table) member twice in the UAE region for surpassing the annual premium targets, which was the pinnacle of my skill in personal selling. My ability to grow a business from the ground up was evident in 2009, in my role as the Retail Manager of Touchwood Investments PLC, based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. I accomplished a great deal of success for this organization with year-on-year promotions, which eventually led me to my final role as the Chief Executive Officer in 2013. Subsequently, I sat on the board as an Executive Director for eChanneling PLC, and Blue Diamonds Jewelry PLC, where I played an integral part in streamlining the operations and restructuring these organizations for the foreign acquisition of both companies. Later I served as the Director of Business Development for JAT holding PLC, a large manufacturer, and importer of lifestyle furniture and commercial building products for Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Prior to my present employer, I had the opportunity to work in Kurdistan-Iraq for three years since 2019 as the General Manager for an international trading company affiliated with renowned global brands. During my time there, I initiated and spearheaded the implementation and administration of ISO 9001, 45001, and 14001 quality and reporting standards across all functions to meet the required international standards in trading procedures and policies. Presently I operate as the Chief Executive Officer of Centrepoint Homes (Pvt) Ltd., known for its reputation as a luxury brand of lifestyle furniture, manufactured and imported for large-scale projects and retail businesses.
