After years of researching the relationship between art and technology, I became intrigued by the development of electronic devices and software. Not one to take half measures, I decided to earn a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering to learn the fundamentals of analog circuits, digital logic, and software so I can pursue a professional career in electronics and software engineering. I am fascinated with the relationship between software and hardware, accomplishing various hardware and software projects while pursuing my degree. For instance, I have researched and built numerous hardware projects, including a voltage-controlled Schmitt trigger oscillator, a Wien bridge oscillator, a passive audio filter equalizer, and analog to digital converters. I have also completed software projects with technologies such as 8051 microcontroller assembly, FPGA Verilog, and C, as well as more extensive research projects on generative adversarial networks, generative visual art production, and blockchain technology. The diverse range of projects afforded me experience from circuit-level design to more advanced architectural systems with higher level languages. Furthermore, these projects have given me expertise with design, simulation, and analysis tools such as OrCAD, Eagle CAD, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and more. Additionally, my time as a Project and Account Manager at Gander and White Shipping offered the opportunity to hone valuable coordination, collaboration, planning, and organizational skills. While there, I oversaw the logistics of international air freight for valuable artworks from a diverse range of international clients with accounts worth several million dollars in annual sales. It taught me much about dealing with high level clientele, time management, organization, coordination, and working with colleagues. Combined with my appreciation for lifelong learning, initiative, and personal accountability, these achievements provide the knowledge, experience, and drive to excel as an engineer.
