The CMI Hub, established in 2013 and led by Ames National Laboratory, is a multidisciplinary effort dedicated to addressing the challenges associated with critical materials. By bringing together scientists and engineers from diverse disciplines, the Hub focuses on innovative solutions across the materials life cycle, including mineral processing, manufacturing, substitution, efficient use, and circular economy practices.Umicore will contribute its expertise in critical materials recycling to support the Hub’s mission of reducing the impact of supply chain disruptions and price fluctuations. This partnership will enable us to collaborate with leading national laboratories, universities, and industry partners to develop holistic solutions to the materials challenges facing our nation.

I have served with the Joplin Daybreak Rotary since 2014. My focus has been on youth and education. I was very happy to help establish the Joplin High School Interact Club in 2015 with my oldest daughter. I continue to be impressed by the variety of ways our Rotary Club has impacted the Joplin area. I served as President of our club in the 2019-2020 year. I was fortunate to be selected Rotarian of the Year in 2020-2021 due mainly to helping coordinate our meetings and speakers with caution given to the COVID circumstances. All Pro Dad’s is a school-based program that brings dads together with their kids at their child’s school. Dads gather monthly with their children and other dads to discuss topics relevant to school-age children and to take part in fun bonding activities. The dads leave with practical parenting tips they can take home and implement immediately and the kids leave with memories to last a lifetime.

The Board of Directors for the OCUW is responsible for setting the vision and goals for our local United Way. We support our Executive Director to help achieve goals set by the board. We work with our partnering agencies to help maximize the impact of the donations made to the United Way. We promote the United Way within the community and encourage corporate participation.
