The company created their own software for staffing companies to provide payroll, invoicing, scheduling, employee web portal access and back office support, so that the staffing company that use our services don’t have to create their own infrastructure. Our application was written in Clarion and started back in 1998. We used the agile methodology for programming. Our customers would use the Internet and access our application through Citrix, which does a great job when printing very precise documents like payroll checks.RealTime Services acquired Kforce Medical Staffing in 2008 and Crdentia Medical Staffing in 2011. Twelve offices were converted and transitioned over to their proprietary software in two months each. Most people commented that the IT Department was the most helpful and quickest at solving problems that they had ever seen.At the end of 2010 with only two weeks left in the year, the Federal Government approved a 2% rebate from employees paying Social Security tax. I orchestrated getting the patch in our software by Dec 31, 2010 long before many other software companies were able to. For example, Microsoft Dynamics got a patch out on January 31, but then had to fix their patch at the end of March. Our employees and clients were given the 2% Social Security tax rebate immediately on their payroll checks.In 2005, I used the Agile methodology to create a nurse scheduling, availability and planning module by holding weekly progress sessions and group sessions with our user community. This provided to be very successful with high interactively between IT and the users of the software. All users commented that they felt as if they designed the system with the IT department. This provided for a “buy in” by the users and they adamantly defended our work and the time taken.
