The Native Prairies Association of Texas (NPAT) is a nonprofit and an accredited land trust with a mission dedicated to the conservation, restoration, and appreciation of native prairies, savannas, and other grasslands in Texas. I am working to expand our membership base and funding resources to help propel us to the next stage of growth. This will empower us to protect and restore more native prairie and educate more Texans about their beauty and benefits.

Yamhill Community Action Partnership is the largest private nonprofit in Yamhill County, serving its residents since 1980. YCAP's mission is to advocate for and assist persons toward self-sufficiency. The agency does so primarily through supportive housing, the regional food bank, energy and weatherization services, and creating youth opportunity. For more information, go to www.yamhillcap.org.In three years we placed more homeless individuals and families into stable housing or kept people from losing their homes, expanded our food collection and distribution to feed 15,000 people a month, kept the heat on and made homes more energy efficient for over 3,500 individuals annually, and gave more youth a chance at a brighter future. Our budget grew and our fiscal health remained strong as we expanded programs, hired more staff and added several security features to our Main Campus property. We held our most successful signature fundraisers in years and our community donations grew by almost 15% in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2018. We also completely overhauled our personnel management and compensation system to better recognize and value our superb staff.

The Oregon FEB's mission is to create value for the public by fostering communication, coordination and collaboration with federal, state, and local government agencies in Oregon and SW Washington. As Acting Executive Director, I led all aspects of the organization, from operations planning and implementation, budgeting, resource development, training programs, communications, stakeholder relations, and board and committee recruitment and management. With new committees we revised the Public Service Recognition Week event for 2015 and initiated a new mid-level leadership development program. Prior to departure, I also secured funding for the executive director position though FY 2017 from five different local federal partner agencies.

My primary role is as lead for our Emergency Preparedness initiatives, which involves delivering information, services, and developing relationships with federal, state, local, private sector and non-profit partners in the emergency management sector. It also includes management of an inter-agency working group, and the planning and execution of exercises and training. I take part with our Executive Director in strategic and budget planning for our office, designed and manage our agency's website, produce program marketing products, maintain our IT systems, explore and implement new technology to deliver our services and serve as the back-up to the Executive Director.

Directed workplace charitable giving campaigns for United Way in public sector organizations, including the State of Oregon and the Columbia River-Willamette Valley Combined Federal Campaign.

Completed two year service working as a business consultant with a local colleague in Rapla, Estonia. Led or supported marketing programs to local citizens adapting to a new market economy after 50 years under Soviet rule. Also taught English at local high schools and led a summer business camp for Estonian and Russian students.

Worked through a time of transition with a new advertising agency and the launch of adidas America's re-entry into U.S. college football, pro basketball markets, and preparation for the Atlanta Olympics.
