About Jeff Scott

Currently I am a Senior Quality Advocate for Olo where I teach Whole Team Quality. I coach developers in testing, collaboratively develop test plans, and mentor in XP practices including mobbing and pairing. I advocate for deploying a single change to production, iteratively, as the deployment strategy with the least risk and I continually champion for dev/sec/test/ops.I have previously worked in .NET shops with a primary focus on building RESTful APIs and microservices - both on-premise and in Azure, following a hexagonal architecture with extensive use of message brokering, service discovery, monitoring, and alerting.Prior to the above, I tested iOS apps for a company transitioning to Agile. I understand the pain that comes with this transition and welcome the challenges; I bring the pain forward - so it can be addressed. Furthermore, I am a seasoned software tester experienced in enterprise-level systems, applications, and platforms. As a detail-oriented problem solver, I design and test solutions across n-tier systems using a variety of industry-standard technologies and best practices. My excellent written and verbal communication, organizational qualities, and results-driven focus allow me to work effectively in cross-functional teams. I take pride in my work ethic and integrity, and strive to bring real and measurable value to my employer.
