Responsible for building and leading Iterable's Quality Engineering and Engineering Operations programs.Our Quality Engineering organization establishes the programs that help enforce our quality guard rails, build the technical tooling into our CI/CD pipeline that allows our engineers to have high confidence and velocity in feature release, and collect/perform analyses to identify areas we are weak and drive improvement. To accomplish the above, I lead a team of 6 Software Developers in Test in building automation testing, execute QAOPS, and implement quality initiatives.Our Engineering Operations organization runs the services and programs to systematically improve effectiveness and productivity across the engineering organization as we scale. Orchestrate Optimizely's quality control plan utilizing a combination of automated testing, implementing QA procedures, and acting as our customer experience champion to ensure Optimizely remains the world's leading experimentation platform.Founded the QA Department and grew it to include 6+ engineers within two years. Responsible for recruiting, hiring, and mentoring engineers for SF and Austin offices.In charge of the entire engineering testing roadmap, from selecting which automation tools to implement, to what level of manual testing we needed to run. Spearheaded team to build frameworks using Cypress.io(FE E2E), Pytest(API E2E), PACT (microservice contract testing), and BDD (Browserstack and Selenium), which tied into a myriad of CI/CD pipelines utilizing Docker, Jenkins, TravisCI, and AWS Codebuild. Provided high level quality metrics to the CTO/Engineering Directors/Engineering Managers which included information such as SLA, MTTR (mean time to remediation), Change Fail %, Quality Scores, High Level Severity Incident triages, and Bug Trend Analyses. This review allowed other engineering departments to have a high level understanding of their product quality.Led the Engineering Operations team.
