Training Coordinator Business Development Coordinator
Coordinated with Mississippi Department of Corrections Workforce staff/Wardens, MDOC WORKS Operations Managers/Supervisors and HOPE partners with assigned correctional facilities on appropriate training services. Collaborated with Mississippi Construction Education Foundation (MCEF) leadership to provide to the facilities NCCER Craft Skills Training. Organized and inventoried training materials, manuals, and resources to support training initiatives at each facility. Crafted and implemented NCCER Core & Safety Certificate of completion incentive program and Smart Start Certification incentive program. Set up and run Instructor identification, skills assessment, and Instructor school selection and training date to keep up with facility instructor needs. Place certified inmate instructors in these facilities to hold NCCER Skills training classes. Collaborate with each facility Director of Education to identify specific training gaps or needs for the instructors or program participants at their facility. Coordinated and Collaborated with MCEF to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through facility visits, monitoring class training and providing class assessments and feedback, making improvements as necessary.Coordinate, schedule and hold training sessions to ensure the training staff receive proper training.Performed site visits and sat in class to monitor the performance and progress of students, providing coaching and additional support when required.Collaborated and coordinated with Mississippi Construction Education Foundation and facility Education Director training materials and training system updates, industry trends and best practices in skills training.Monthly training results were reported to the ARPA Grant auditor and administrator. The ARPA Grant goal was to deliver 2500 certifications during the grant period. The training team delivered over 5,000 certificates. Grant ended June 30th, 2024.
