After a successful first career as a chef at the nationally renowned restaurant Chez Panisse, Jeff pursued a second passion in the world of investments. After completing a master’s degree in finance he spent nearly a decade at large investment firms in San Francisco working in equity research and portfolio management.Having been raised by a single mother, Jeff learned early on that “money didn’t grow on trees.” He’d always been a hard worker and saved his money, almost to the point of obsession. In his work to understand how others made financial (and investment) decisions he began to learn more about himself. Jeff's own fear-based money behaviors led to a personal transformation that sowed the seeds for his mission: to help others develop ease, freedom, and confidence around how they think about and manage money. He found many people, particularly women, were not only open to talking about how they felt about money, but in fact they needed to. A prospective client urged him to take his commitment to the next level. Soon after, he found himself facilitating groups and developing workshops specifically for women to explore unconscious beliefs and emotions about money. Women have encouraged and helped Jeff to do this work. His ability to relate to the newly single woman, charged with starting over financially and emotionally, continues to fuel his perspective and his practice. By incorporating values and priorities in planning the future, women can care for those they love and direct their money to what matters most.Jeff has a B.A in Cultural Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA in Finance from California State University, Hayward.
