My work for business clients includes organizing the business, mergers and acquisitions, contractual issues, employee benefits, and regulatory compliance, including dealing with the IRS and Department of Labor on tax and ERISA issues. I speak and write on numerous topics, including choice of business entity, drafting limited liability company and partnership agreements, business succession planning, COBRA, and health savings accounts.In a prior life, I owned a restaurant on the southeast side of Madison and know first-hand the challenges small business owners face. I see my role as taking care of the "legal red tape" so that my clients can focus on running their business.
