As a physician executive and advisor, I have three decades of experience in leading and supporting healthcare organizations in achieving their strategic, operational, and clinical goals. As a trained mediator who has led conflict communication training, I am passionate about working to give healthcare professionals the skills they need to navigate inevitable tension and day to day communication challenges so they can provide results for their organizations. Currently with my partner Dr. Paul Natterson, we have launched Rxsolve Conflict - Rxsolveconflict.com - to provide communication and conflict management services, including coaching, facilitation and mediation to Medical Staffs, Medical Groups, Hospitals and other Healthcare Organizations. By lifting communication and better managing conflict we help organizations achieve a just culture, positively affecting wellness, patient outcomes and productivity with a significant ROI for stakeholders. I also collaborate with healthcare software, services and technology companies as a Board of Advisor at SalesSparx LLC, where I help them sell more, faster, using the FUSE (tm) Go-To-Market Acceleration Process. Previously, I served as the Chief Medical Officer then Medical Director of Clinical Transformation at Washington Hospital Healthcare System, where I led initiatives supporting physician engagement and alignment, quality standardization, leadership development, and interdisciplinary communication. As the CMO, I led many aspects of our Covid Response including creating a community vaccination clinic which served as the primary site for the Fremont area. I was also the Medical Director and practicing anesthesiologist at Washington Outpatient Surgery Center for almost twenty years and am currently still in practice, now with Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists in Nashville Tennessee.
