Optaros leverages open source software to deliver custom solutions to clients across the US and Europe.* Led a team to create next-generation e-commerce platform for popular multi-level marketing company, while migrating the client away from a proprietary platform hosted by a third-party. Primary responsibilities included creating various REST and SOAP API’s to allow many different systems to communicate with the platform, and interfacing the new platform with all of client's external providers for inventory, orders, shipments, returns, etc.* Led infrastructure and integration effort to build the original website and applications one of the most successful flash sale companies in the US.* Developed a custom web content management and publishing system written in Java using Spring and Hibernate, used to manage content on a comedy website owned by a top media company. Wrote a web crawler to ingest content into the CMS.

RSI partners with clients on IT initiatives to improve customer service, increase operational efficiency and maximize compliance.* Developed and supported a collection of very large (2+ TB) Oracle databases for the MA Dept. of Revenue. Responsibilities included developing stored and external procedures using PL/SQL, C and Java, as well as standalone Java applications that interacted with the various databases.* Regularly performed various database administration tasks such as performance testing and tuning.* Actively involved in the design and development of a custom database replication system which was capable of propagating millions of transactions per day between a master OLTP database and collection of surrogate reporting and OLAP databases.
