Software Systems Engineer
Current- Solely responsible for all network and hosting infrastructure.- Migrated existing hosting solution to a more lightweights and scalable containerized solution.- Implemented network-wide monitoring system to ensure constant uptime and enable data dashboards to deliver insights.- Fully automated the deployment of new servers, management and maintenance of existing servers [Ansible, Python, Bash].- Leveraged time freed up by automation to focus on software projects.- Designed and built an online portal that allows our resellers to deploy new servers on-demand for their customers.- Worked with existing software team on a major government contract; eventually took on a leadership role in this project.- Trained new developers to work within our stack and codebases [Ember, Flask/Python, CouchDB].- Planned and implemented devops pipelines including: automated builds and testing, version management, dependency management for external and in-house dependencies [Jenkins, Git, GitHub].
