Managed the Configuration, Change, Release and Risk Management environment required to support the development and deployment of Harris' "SOA Suite", the software infrastructure designed to integrate the electronic health records of two of the world's largest healthcare systems — the VA and the Department of Defense (DoD).

Improved software quality by simplifying processes and consolidating development tools across five DRS sites. Bridged the gap between high-level Gantt chart bullets and detailed tasks by implementing a cost-effective issue tracking solution, then trained and coached development teams. Administered Jira, Subversion, DOORS and several other mission-critical tools while simplifying software development processes.

Led effort to assess and validate software, hardware and Operating System of Armor rugged computer products; coordinated corrective actions with original device manufacturers, contractors and staff. Coordinated the adaptation of the Android OS to our existing x86 hardware architecture, satisfying a major industrial customer’s critical needs for a low cost, customizable and lightweight mobile computing solutionSuccessfully implemented the software source code management system; developed and documented systems engineering and software product development processes in support of both ISO 9001:2000 registration and CMMI level 3 certification; created and delivered related training. Also implemented and administered an effective and economical issue tracking system that quickly gained wide adoption.

Managed development and on-time delivery of critical radiation oncology products during a time of rapid growth and shifting priorities while concurrently managing Test, Mechanical Engineering, Technical Publications and Project Management departments. Established, documented and implemented the product development processes that allowed the company to achieve ISO 9001 registration and to maintain FDA compliance.

Coordinated software contributions of four software teams with as many as 80 developers to build software and manage code releases. Automated the software build processes; managed Rational Synergy SCM tool. Developed the problem reporting system, chaired the Change Control Board. Functioned as the Engineering representative for ISO 9001 implementation.
