Web Based Patent Filing and Workflow Processing System (2000 - 2007)• Architected and lead a three-person team in the development of a Java web based patent filing and workflow processing system that has been adopted by over 100 groups worldwide within the organization. LDAP authentication and a role-based security system were used to provide a secure repository for the storage of legal documents.• Lead the development of numerous enhancement projects requested by the user community over the course of 5 years. This intranet application includes components for application processing, document storage and retrieval, workflow processing, user notifications, meeting scheduling, and reporting. External Publication Approval System (2003)• Architected and lead the development of a Java web based system that tracks the approval workflow of technical publications outside of the organization. The system design included a reusable workflow architecture that could be configured to address future business approval processes.Engineering Design Specification Repository (2000)• Independently designed and developed an engineering design specification repository using Visual Basic and Microsoft Visual SourceSafe automation. The system uses Visual SourceSafe as a repository for the files associated with the engineering design tools. The check in, check out, and versioning features of Visual SourceSafe were used to allow users to manage these design files.Web Based Dynamic Cellular Network Diagrams (1999)• Designed and developed a web database application to provide dynamic cellular network diagrams. The network diagrams were developed using Visual Basic ActiveX components and Visio automation. The application allows the Visio diagrams to be generated dynamically from the database information and presented to the user via the web interface.

• Architected and lead the development of an aerial photography inspection system. • Integrated professional digital cameras, a digital video camera, a GPS unit, a radar triggering device, and mapping software into a flight control application that captures still images and digital video. • Researched, acquired and integrated the hardware components needed for this aerial system. • Developed a multimedia viewing application that included image and video post-processing modules.
