The E1 Championship was established to create a new competitive on-water racing proposition based on clean technologies to protect our waters and coastal areas. Air Race E is an ambitious project, in partnership with Airbus, Ansys and other industry leaders, that will help accelerate both aviation and motorsport into the future: it is the world’s first and only all-electric airplane racing championship. Air Race E is based on its sister racing formula Air Race 1, which is a fast multi-plane race on a closed-circuit around six pylons, just meters above the ground and faster than any land-based sport. Each plane, driven by a fully-electric powertrain, is light and sleek and built solely for racing, in accordance with the Air Race E formula rules.Our mission is threefold: To offer industry partners a necessary platform to develop technology; to promote the use of cleaner power in transportation; and to deliver an exciting, intriguing, fun motorsport to audiences around the world, both live and on television.Air Race E will become the unifying platform for the development and promotion of cleaner, faster, more efficient electric aircraft. It provides the perfect high-performance test bed for technology development and fills a much-needed role in the industry – much like the mission that automotive motorsports serve to the automotive industry. We are taking air racing into the next generation. The first series of international races is due to take place soon.

Air Race 1 is the official international Motorsport series for the sport known as formula one air racing. Eight airplanes at the same time race directly against each other around a tight circuit at up to 450kph in front of worldwide television audiences and large live spectating crowds. The inaugural event was held in June 2014 and the first World Cup of Air Racing series was successfully completed in 2015 with events in USA, Africa and Europe. Thailand was added to the list of events in 2016 and 2017 making it the first pylon air race in the history of Asia. China was added to the calendar in 2018 and a new North American championship series is being launched. The Air Race 1 World Cup is preparing for the next stage of high growth.

Flying Aces is a world leader in both event management and media rights development within the Air Sports industry.
