Responsible for testing of unreleased new replication feature using a mixture of manual testing and Python REST API based testing. I was tightly integrated with the development team and performed significant dev and unit type testing as the new feature approached code complete. Feature never entered a formal QA cycle due to layoffs in engineering. My position (and a significant portion of the entire engineering organization) was eliminated mid-march 2016 due to Data Gravity abruptly changing product and market focus.

Cimpress is parent company for Vistaprint and other companies.Testing back end REST APIs (new product platform) and integrated software (old product platform) as Cimpress migrates from a monolithic software stack to a SOA REST API service organization serving multiple vendors. Solely responsible for testing all aspects of product image rendering from front end UI thru back end prepress rendered imagery to be utilized on printing and embroidery Computer Integrated Manufacturing systems. Responsible for new feature testing developed to utilize cloud based processing. Testing is a mixture of manual individual rendered image processing and automated image comparison and Perl test feature/regression harnesses.

Testing back end REST APIs in a SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) environment. Leading multi-member, multi-location Function, Integration and Regression testing efforts for new product development. SDLC methodologies include Agile & Kanban. Implementing automated testing for sprint level activities and regression activities, in addition to manual sprint level testing efforts. Responsible for all new development ticket testing, and full regression suite capabilities for the entire back end service. Created and maintained automated testing framework from scratch for regression, smoke, integration tests. Also linked automated test framework to Jenkins for cyclical and continuous deployment upon completion of developer builds on multiple runway instances.

QA technical team lead responsible for new feature testing on unreleased iSCSI storage based hardware and software server products. Products are tested on both Windows OSes and in virtualized (ESX & HyperV) environments. In addition to expert level product testing responsibilities, responsible for all product technical lead level knowledge and disseminating that knowledge across the QA organization. Other responsibilities include QA level SME on all product internal subsystems. Created hundreds of test scripts to assist with the execution of manual test cases.

Lead QA team member responsible for all new Video Server hardware platform and new software feature integration testing for Video On Demand product lines. Responsibilities include working with development staff for QA and Unit testing of new hardware platforms and software features prior to formal QA test cycle. Also responsible for producing and maintaining PERL test harnesses for automated regression tests. Previously was team lead for testing multiple new storage server products that use storage technologies such as iSCSI, SAN and NAS. Was also team lead for testing for multiple new broadcast video server product releases that use video technologies such as MPEG, Transport Stream, Program Stream along with data technologies such as Gigabit Ethernet, TCP/IP, FTP, CIFS, and Samba. Created automated test scripts to perform long term test case execution over periods of days & weeks.

QA technical team lead responsible for team management and for new feature and regression testing of ATM & SS7 Service Node. PSN-2100 utilized ATM, SS7 and TCP/IP to offer service provider Java based Service Creation Environment. Responsible for all phases of product testing, from initial test plan design and creation through test plan execution. Responsible for all phases of defect management and tracking for entire QA team. Created Perl & Tcl/Tk automation scripts for product testing. Created complex test plans and test suites for complex multi-protocol software systems running on PSN-2100 chassis. Utilized software and hardware tools to discover defects in complex, multi-computing, multiple operating system product. Created automated test frameworks to execute test cases with Adtech ATM traffic generator. Company ceased operations in March 2003.

Tested ATM and Frame Relay utilizing GX 550, CBX 500, and B-STDX 9000 Lucent switches. Lead projects to test interoperability for specific software releases between Lucent Technologies network switches and Lucent Technologies PSAX 1250/2300 edge network switches.
