• Co-authored three presentations for the 2015 International Sunbelt Social Network Conference in Brighton, England.• Created and analyzed inter-organizational networks for the Community Alliance for Safety and Peace in Salinas, California using various program packages in R to create network visualizations and using Pajek and UCINet to run network analyses.• Developed and taught a five-session Microsoft Excel class for over a dozen graduate students from beginner to advanced levels.

As a research assistant, I developed and authored four complete opposition research books on candidates from various parts of the country based on open source intelligence. I also maintained research books and background papers on various candidates running for elected office. In one of the more unique rolls I had I was in charge of trackIng key votes taken in the 112th Congress and incorporating them into a department-wide research tool.As an analyst on the indepent expenditure research team, I led research efforts for over $20 million of expenditures in 18 targeted congressional districts. Primarily, this involved working with consultants and outside vendors to develop content for polling questions and political advertisements. I also strengthen advertisements and polling to avoid legal challenges using input from legal advisers; not a single ad was successfully challenged.

As deputy policy director, I was in charge of monitoring various pieces of legislation from subcommittee markup through committee and floor consideration in the U.S. House of Representatives. I worked with the Policy Director to research and develop an issue policy book for use by congressional campaigns throughout the United States. I also coordinated with the press, research, and political departments to develop and ensure accuracy of media hits based on research and issues important to the region.

As a legislative correspondent, I managed interns and junior staff to ensure quality and efficient responses to constituent questions and comments as part of an aggressive correspondence program which responded to more than 1,000 letters, emails and calls every week; this included drafting and managing a targeted mail program to improve congressional constituent outreach. I aIso managed office staff assistant duties including flag and tour requests.

As the research director, I collaborated with the campaign manager and other department heads to provide up-to-date research and analysis pertaining to press releases, television and radio advertisements, debate and editorial board preparation. I spearheaded debate preparation with the candidate, including researching, preparing and assuming the role of the opponent for question and answer simulations. Day-to-day, I conducted background research and provided fact checking documents for advertisements and wrote issue background guides and memoranda concerning bills sponsored/cosponsored and positions supported by the candidate.

As a research assistant, I wrote over a dozen public background guides and 33 county-specific papers based on bills sponsored/cosponsored/supported by the candidate. I developed and wrote talking points for the candidate during campaign tours on a number of different subjects, including veterans affairs, immigration and health care.While working in conjunction with the communications team,I conducted background research in support of advertisements.Additionally, I organized and maintained the master schedule of debates and forums to which the candidate was invited and our responses to the various organizations and recorded, transcribed and analyzed candidate debates.

As a field organizer, I was in charge of a number of different tasks. It was my job to act as a liaison between the central campaign and the local party as well as the local supporters. I also made phone calls on behalf of the campaign and organized people in the field in order to increase the number of supporters for the candidate. Lastly, it was my job to stage the candidate's visits to my county and to brief the candidate on local issues. I was able to receive more delegates in my county for my candidate in the Iowa Caucus than any other county in the state with only one organizer in it and the third most over all.

As an English Assistant, it was my job to plan and help develop lessons for middle school and high school students who were taking English as a foreign language. I assisted teachers in their classrooms by teaching a number of subjects in both English and French. I was also in charge of teaching a few classes of my own.
