Responsible for financial and operations areas including capital markets, strategic planning, corporate budgeting, accounting and financial reporting. Primary responsibility was to catch-up on three prior years of delinquent reporting.

Responsible for automation of all Treasury functions, most critically the upgrade from Excel to an automated Treasury workstation for a $3.3B REIT which invests in “Trophy A” office towers. Managed 2 direct reports and 5 indirect reports.

Managed company risk exposure by formulating FX hedging policy, mitigated interest rate risk using swaps and caps and devised counter-party risk management model. Developed and strengthened banking lender relationships, established fraud prevention controls in conjunction with SOX audits, delivered quarterly presentations to Board of Directors and created processes and systems to determine daily global cash position for this $11B REIT. Managed 2 direct reports and 6 indirect reports.

Rolled out Treasury workstation to U.S., European, and Asian subsidiaries, led firm-wide Sarbanes-Oxley implementation team, developed Treasury “Best Practices” manual for company-wide use, and created Business Continuity Plan (pre-9/11) which led to company readiness within 48 hours. Tasked with rollout of ERP system. Supervised staff of 20 responsible for cash management and bank admin for world’s largest insurance organization.

Selected to design Treasury workstation for U.S. Corporate Treasury. Supervised staff of 12 responsible for global cash management and bank administration including execution of over 750 daily wire transfers ($2 billion) and cash pooling for domestic subs to maximize investment return.• Implemented third-party vendor Treasury workstation (Wall Street Systems) culminating in straight-through processing and improved controls through the automation of cash management, FX and Money Market processes.• Documented processes, controls and test plans as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) coordinator for Corporate Treasury leading to improved global control environment and compliance with regulations.• Took initiative to create Business Continuity (Disaster Recovery) Plan resulting in company readiness 48 hours after 9/11.
