I wear three business hats (and most often a baseball cap): Managing Director of a specialist funder; Principal of corporate advisory firm; and founding partner in an American based Property Investment fund. But most importantly I am a husband and father of four, a hapless chorister and hopeless cyclist. This combination of foibles and interests has led me to become a columnist, commentator and speaker for the finance industry and an awards judge. I write articles for trade magazine titles, serve as a keynote speaker at industry conferences and have hosted webinars with the MFAA and training videos for Kaplan Educational Institute. My focus and expertise are financial services, investment and property companies. I thrive on finding innovative structures and funding solutions to allow businesses to grow, particularly by acquisition. I specialize in financing and provide corporate advice to the mortgage brokerage and allied financial services industries, where I can share deep market knowledge with insight gained from over 25 years in executive roles at Goldman Sachs on Wall Street and in London and leading financial institutions in Sydney. In my role at TrailBlazer Finance (formerly BBBSA Finance,) I help small to medium financial services firms such as brokerage and planning and real estate businesses optimize their business for growth and/or sale. I know from first-hand experience what it takes to start, manage, successfully buy and then sell companies - as I have done this with several of my own. We aim to offer the finance banks can’t or won’t. ▶ If you want to connect with me, e-mail me at: jeffz@bbbsa.com.au
