Started out manufacturing contact lenses well over 25 years ago. Worked on the first gas permeable rigid lenes, prior to FDA approval. Moved into Optometric assisting, then all aspects of general Opticianry. Eventually became assistant in vitreous surgery in the sterile field, with OR privileges at the Phillips Eye Institute, Minneapolis, MN.Extensive history including everything from Patient work ups, to Ophthalmic Photography, which has been my profession now for 15 years. Have been fortunate to play key roles in a variety of institutions, and work with a wide range of National clinical research trials over the years. Enjoy playing an active role in business operations, as well as the day to day patient care. Taking on a stronger role in educating staff as technology changes.Additional experience: Designing/transporting & installing/maintaining operating systems for a wide variety of A/V applications. video cameraman, producer, editor (both analog and digital platforms), video/audio engineer. Contributed to television broadcast documentaries (recognized by Minnesota Governor Perpich) , and a variety of commercial radio and video productions.Specialties: Ophthalmic Imaging, participating in all aspects of practice operations. Experience various levels of medical IT and networking of digital systems. Comfortable and experienced with nearly all Ophthalmic equipment; transporting, installing, explaining/ training, repairing/troubleshooting, etc. Also skilled in various EMRss, Microsoft Office Suite, as well as a wide variety of video and audio applications, including iMovies, Final Cut, Pro tools and Logic programs.
