Joined Microsoft with the acquisition of FAST Search, and served as product manager for FAST Search for SharePoint, then technical product manager for enterprise search. Great ride, and immensely satisfying to help high-end search technology reach the mainstream market.After completing the launch of SharePoint 2010, FAST Search for SharePoint, and FAST Search for Internet Sites, I decided my passion was to create search-driven applications on this platform, and that the best place to make this happen was at the top Microsoft Search ISV (BA Insight).

This was a service role, acting as advisor and board member for a startup commercializing deep multi-core programming technology resulting from many years of MIT research. The company was sold to Intel in 2010.

FAST was the best enterprise search technology on the market (no bias here ;-) and it was a wild ride with great people. I joined to build and run a 'SWAT' team defining and selling high-end search solutions, then rolling them into delivery and into future product features. I transitioned into Product Management and worked on Search/BI solutions, as well as doing 'special projects', through the acquisition of FAST by Microsoft.
