About Jegan Sekar

I am a passionate microbiologist with over a decade of experience in advancing sustainable agriculture through innovative soil and crop microbiome research for bioinoculnats development for sustainable agriculture. Worked in the development of microbial-based bioproducts like PGPR, AMF, and consortia for crop growth, disease management, and biodegradation. Currently involved in projects focused on enhancing soil health, optimizing plant-microbe interactions, and developing eco-friendly biocontrol agents. My expertise includes taxonomic characterization, phylogenetic analysis, metagenomics, and whole-genome analysis, with a strong focus on biomarker discovery and field application. I am skilled in isolating novel strains and developing stable formulation technologies, conducting field trials, yield analysis, and economic assessments. My current research is building of soil and crop microbiome database to explore microbial signatures for for soil health and crop productivity.
