• Responsible for the P&L and all commercial activities of the global UAN (a liquid bulk commodity) business unit which generates $625M per year in revenue and handles 2.5M tons per year.
• Lead fundamental supply and demand analysis efforts in order to develop a global trading strategy that includes both fixed price positions and regional arbitrage trading strategies.
• Oversee a team of approximately 50 people across the globe that are responsible for procurement, sales, commercial optimization, market analysis, and logistics.
• Directly negotiate all commercial terms including price, shipment window, and payment terms for approximately 250K tons per year of UAN from suppliers located in the United States, Canada, Trinidad, Eastern Europe, and.
• Redefined multiple financial scorecards to better communicate business performance to management.

• Managed the North American UAN and urea (a dry bulk commodity) business segments which generated $900M per year in revenue and handled 3M tons per year.
• Identified a new value chain for sourcing UAN into the Great Lakes and implemented a strategy that generated $2M per year in gross margin.
• Maximized the profitability of 12 urea terminals and 28 UAN terminals by supplying them at the ideal time with the lowest cost product sourced by vessel, barge, rail, and truck.
• Analyzed supply and demand trends in order to identify and capitalize on regional pricing discrepancies and freight optimization opportunities.
