José is a C-Level executive with over 30 years handling domestic and international matters who has served as a member of senior executive teams for over 20 years. His wide range of experience includes digital & social media, entertainment, securities, transactions, international development, project management, licensing, intellectual property, and technology. Currently he is Chief Executive Officer for, and Co-Founder of, Trapezoid, Inc. (“Trapezoid”), a cyber security product company focused on firmware and device integrity. He also served as EVP of Digitalera Group, LLC, a technology holding company primarily focused on the sale and distribution of digital security products. Digitalera is seed investor in Trapezoid.Prior to Trapezoid and Digitalera he worked with Prisa Digital to integrate certain assets Prisa purchased from Hoodiny Entertainment Group, a social media & entertainment technology start-up. Prior to his Prisa engagement, he served as EVP, Business & Legal Affairs for Hoodiny, managing day-to-day commercial, operational and legal matters, and supporting the CEO. Previously, he was Chief Legal Officer and later SVP, Business Affairs at Terremark Worldwide, Inc. As CLO (2000-2004), he oversaw the company's legal functions; as SVP Business Affairs (2004-2007), he filled multiple roles: headed the global IS group, managed the Business Process office, assisted the CEO on international development matters, and worked with the COO developing and launching new products and services. He has had a number of legal roles at Sunbeam Corp, Blockbuster Ent. Grp (Viacom, Inc. subsidiary) and American Express. He started at Donovan, Leisure, Newton & Irvine, received his JD from Fordham School of Law and BA from Fordham University.
