As a multilingual Arab American filmmaker, journalist, and media strategist who’s worked across continents, I bring fresh perspectives to every story I tell. My passion is spotlighting underrepresented voices and breaking down stereotypes through real, impactful storytelling. From public affairs to social justice and strategic campaigns, I've collaborated with NGOs, brands, and media outlets to create content that truly connects with audiences everywhere.I've collaborated with influential organizations like the Rockefeller Foundation to amplify narratives on climate change and social impact, and as a Fellow of Jane Fonda’s Women’s Media Center, I advocate for representation on major U.S. media outlets, from PBS to Fox News. My experiences and insights allow me to offer targeted media coaching and consulting for those eager to elevate their influence in public dialogue.In filmmaking, my dedication to social justice is reflected in The Lost Dream, a feature-length documentary exposing the struggles of Iraqi refugees in the U.S., which garnered national acclaim and a Congressional screening. The film was fully funded by ITVS and executive-produced by Oscar winner Laura Poitras. Currently, I'm producing the first Arab trans film, an ambitious project supported by top festivals like Hot Docs and Berlinale, driving visibility on pressing human rights issues in the Arab world.My career combines technical skills with an eye for powerful storytelling: from concept development and directing to post-production and publishing, I lead every phase of media creation. I also hold a mini MBA from the Entrepreneurship Assistance Center at Queens Economic Development Corporation and am certified in holistic health and Feng Shui, offering a multidimensional perspective on life and work, which gives me a multidimensional approach to both life and work. This perspective naturally led to the creation of my social media lifestyle channel, @GigisNewYorkCity.Whether in PR, film, or content strategy, my goal is to craft narratives that resonate on a personal level, fostering connection and inspiring positive change.
