- High swelling acrylic elastomers via one-pot crosslinking reaction using the novel RAFT crosslinker. - Obtained notably high swelling ratios than synthesized by conventional crosslinking in bulkpolymerization. - Explored a potential application as an oil sorbent exhibiting more than twice of swelling ratios in nonpolar solvents those are bulk polymerized acrylate copolymers by introducing longer alkyl acrylate homopolymer. - Measured the crosslink density of synthesized elastomers directly by using rheology and indirectly by using Flory-Rehner model incorporated with phantom network.- Synthesis and characterization of ionically crosslinked networks - Successfully synthesized the ionically bonded RAFT agent having quaternary ammonium at both ends for the ionically crosslinked elastomer synthesis. - Achieved a reversible bonding by controlling the ion charge.- Fabrication of highly deformable shape memory elastomers using low molecular mass organogelators (LMOGs) - Fabricated highly deformable shape memory elastomers with blending of poly(n-butyl acrylate) gels prepared by RAFT crosslinker and fatty acids or LMOGs. - Related the shape memory recovery and fixity in terms of the acid loading level to optimize the system.- Lab safety and training manager - Served as a lab safety manager (8/2013 – current) to maintain the safety level of the lab above the standard. - Trained and mentored undergraduate interns, high school teachers, and visiting scholars inexperimental skills and research guides.
