Jessica Liu is a passionate storyteller with diverse experience as a professional marketer, social media professional and project manager who was raised between Shanghai and the San Francisco Bay Area .She focuses on providing stories and platforms that highlight diversity and inclusion. With her BAs from UCSC in Film + Feminist Studies - Culture, Power, Representation - she has been a speaker for diversity inclusion on an international digital panel for Viddsee, panels at UCLA, been a guest speaker at Chapman University. Her background includes working with a variety of populations - low resourced BIPOC young adults, professional dancers, filmmakers, infants to school-aged children on the Autism Spectrum. Her debut feature "Ming & the Banana" is a Sundance Development Lab finalist and selected for the 2024 Rising Directors Fellowship with Alliance of Women Directors. She is a 2023 Frieze LA Film Award fellow, a Goldhouse Futures Creator and a highlighted comedic creator by Elizabeth Banks’ Whohaha. Her work has been supported by Ghetto Film School, Endeavor Content and selected for Oscar qualifying festivals - Cinequest, Dances with Films, and streaming on Prime Video. Aside from her film career, she is dedicated to growing her impact as an experienced project manager with clients such as Netflix and STARZ. Jessica has worked as an editor creating content for clients such as Sony, Redbull and Princeton University and supported work that focuses on bringing light to underserved voices.
