Re-started my second racing career in 2014 after a hiatus to build a career and a family. I started again from the very bottom, novice category, and worked my way back to category 2 and racing in the masters and elite Pro/1-2 categories. In 2016, I co-founded the team with the long term objective of building a competitive masters bike racing team at the national level in a competitive landscape dominated by teams built on recruiting established nationally competitive racers. This is the second race team that I co-founded. Managed the nominal day-to-day finances and periodic reporting. Function as the team sprinter and criterium specialist resulting in 27+ podiums, including 9+ wins.

Over the years we’ve worked for over twenty large financial institutions on a variety of projects from data analysis and reporting, validations, ad hoc portfolio analysis, policy and product development, loss forecasting, model development and more. I was personally responsible for securing everyone of those engagements and managing half of the projects. I lead the due diligence for a client, one of the country’s largest asset management firms, of a small data aggregation company that they had an option to acquire. I was also the consultant in charge for the company’s longest engagement, 2005-present, for a group of Banks with over $1 trillion in assets. This included developing methodology for forecasting housing prices and forecasting those values from 2007-2022. I defended the forecasts and methodologies to senior executives across each of the institutions, their auditors, model validators and examiners.

I began as a student in 2004 holding the starting rank of 5th kyu (white belt). I progressed to the rank of Nidan (2nd degree black belt). I began teaching as a brown belt with the encouragement of the Sensei (teacher). I eventually became the owner and chief instructor for AOM, Inc., dba Aikido Of Marin. I managed the operations of the dojo, mentored instructors and taught classes. Functionally this was a non-profit and primarily a means for giving back to the art and community that supported me and my growth over the 12+ years of my practice.
