Scope of the job:To organise and manage all aspects of day-to-day operations within the Amsterdam Network control centre (NCC), ensuring that they are always staffed and that appropriate processes and procedures are implemented and followed.To re-engineer organisational processes and develop capability to maximise customer loyalty and generate increased profit by identifying and advancing opportunities for cost control improvements.To represent the Amsterdam NCC in contacts with internal and external suppliers, on all aspects of repair and quality of service for customers, networks and services, and to take local responsibility for the guaranteed levels of service given against each (SLA).To ensure full communication and control of all critical network outages on those products, networks and services supported by the Amsterdam NCC takes place.To actively support, at all times, company policy and best practice in the area of security, with particular emphasis on the protection of customer sensitive information.

BT (British Telecom), Network Control Centre shift manager 24/7 (8 FTE) :Scope of the job: To oversee and control all major changes undertaken on IP/MPLS/Frame/ATM/SPT networks managed by the NCCA..•2004: Started on voluntary basis as ‘interim Supervisor’ to ensure ongoing issues and escalations, single point of contact for higher management and customers, to support the Front Office NCCA team especially out of office hours, taking ownership and responsibilities.•2006: Full line management responsibilities (delegated and under supervision of NCCA Senior Operations Manager) including people management for 1 out of 5 shift front office teams (8-9 engineers), development & performance reviews, 121’s, supporting front office team with training and development plans, personal objectives, Rota coverage, etc.

Responsible for global Frame, ATM and RAS network.Key purpose of this role: To monitor and ensure active surveillance for global Frame, ATM and RAS networks and their connected customers managed by the NCCA. To independently identify Network related incidents with relevant diagnostic tools and develop recovery path to drive these to resolution through the relevant systems and contacts within BT and suppliers.
