I chose to move in company to Caledonian Optical, Duncan & Todd's lens manufacturer, to pursue a position that would potentially lead to further growth and development for myself within the company. I was a part of the Office team within the Lab which is the first department in which lens orders from customers would enter the manufacturing process.My responsibilities included:⦁ Manual booking in of client lenses using Innovations was my primary responsbility within the Office team.⦁ Recalcs - Lens orders that were sent through directly through the online ordering system that required certain paramters to be altered so that they could be appropriately and correctly processed.⦁ Errors - Lens orders that had been sent through and rejected by Innovations were received as an Error and would need to be reprocessed and corrected before being sent out into the Lab for manufacturing.⦁ Lens Picking - Once job tickets were trayed up the first step was to pick lenses from stock to then be sent to the next department.⦁ Rejects - Lens orders that were rejected at Quality Control were sent back to the Office department to be reprocessed.⦁ Answering incoming customer and client telephone calls and emails.
